ŚW̱,ȻENEṈITEL: Doing Good Work Together In-Person
ŚW̱,ȻENEṈITEL: Doing good work together is a follow up blended course to TELŦIN TŦE WILNEW: Understanding Indigenous Peoples. ŚW̱,ȻENEṈITEL will explore how we can work together in good ways to incorporate Indigenous ways of knowing and being into our practice in post-secondary settings. Participants will deepen their understanding of decolonization, reconciliation, indigenization and Indigenous self-determination. Trauma-informed approaches, community engagement and place-based education in post-secondary environments will be explored.
The sessions will be facilitated, in-person sessions at Lansdowne Campus. You will also use Desire2Learn (D2L) to access resources, discussions, and homework activities.
The sessions occur over a period of 10 weeks. You should expect to commit 2-3 hours per week to complete the course.
