Pulling Together: Indigenization Guide For Teachers (Study Group)

Pulling Together: Indigenization Guide For Teachers (Study Group) In-Person

Join us for a series of guided conversations on the Indigenization of teaching and learning at Camosun College. Our conversations will be based on Pulling Together: A Guide for Teachers and Instructors, part of the six volume Pulling Together series from BCcampus. These guides, authored by teams of Indigenous and ally writers from across B.C., are living resources that can be adapted and localized, offering instruction and best practices that post-secondary institutions in B.C. can use to decolonize and Indigenize. Resources are intended to augment the existing training currently offered through institutions, recognizing that place-based Indigenous knowledge, languages, and practices are reflected in the localized delivery of Indigenized teaching and learning resources.

This study group is offered in a hybrid format. In-person meetings will alternate between Lansdowne and Interurban campuses and a limited number of participants (max. 4) will have the option to join the meeting virtually through MS Teams.

Completion of TELŦIN TŦE WILNEW (TTW) is an asset. If you have already completed TTW, consider this an excellent next step in your Indigenizing journey.
