Prepping Your Course for Gen-AI Online

Recent advances in generative artificial intelligence (Gen-AI) technology have been both a source of excitement and concern for educators. Instructors are now faced with the challenge of adapting their teaching methods to address the emergence of Gen-AI. In this session we will explore the impacts of Gen-AI on higher education with a focus on course planning and assessment. Topics to be discussed include:

  • promoting academic integrity in an era of Gen-AI,
  • adapting assessments to account for or minimize the use/misuse of Gen-AI,
  • designing alternative and authentic assessments, and
  • harnessing Gen-AI tools to empower learners and instructors.
