Facilitating Student Engagement with EdTech Tools In-Person

Explore strategies for enhancing student engagement in both virtual and physical classrooms through the effective use of EdTech tools like Menti, Kahoot, and Padlet. Acquire hands-on experience navigating these platforms and discover techniques for leveraging interactive quizzes, collaborative boards, and engaging polls in your classes. We will discuss key things to consider before adopting one of these tools, including privacy, accessibility, equity, and technical support.

Note: The third-party ed tech tools discussed in this workshop are not officially supported by eLearning/CETL or ITS. Instructors choosing to incorporate these tools in their classes are responsible for learning how to use the tools themselves and for supporting students with their use.
