ONLINE: Self-study: Creating an annotated bibliography
Some instructors may ask you to provide an annotated bibliography - either as a standalone assignment or part of your research paper. This annotation could include a summary of the work, an evaluation, and a reflection of how this work "fits" with your research question and other works you've discovered.
This quick tutorial explains the elements of an annotated bibliography. There are several checkpoints to self-test your understanding of the material. Our guide has annotation examples in APA, MLA and Chicago style.
