The KAIROS Blanket Exercise In-Person
Have you ever wondered about Indigenous experiences on Turtle Island and the intergenerational impacts of colonization?
Join in The KAIROS Blanket Exercise - an immersive, participatory learning experience that explores the history of Indigenous peoples in North America over the past 500 years. Participants witness firsthand the impacts of colonization and how Canadian laws, policies, and societal biases have shaped our country today. Afterward, participants will spend time listening, sharing, and debriefing in sharing circle pedagogy. Content may be emotionally challenging, please practice self-care. Previous attendees have described this workshop as “extremely valuable” and “one of the best” they've taken at Camosun, emphasizing that everyone should participate in this impactful learning opportunity.
All are welcome; no previous knowledge is necessary, however, having taken TTW is recommended for greater context. Coffee and tea will be available.
