Working Together: Indigenizing Your Course 2025 In-Person
We invite you to enhance your course with Indigenous ways of being and doing in this practical and hands on workshop series. We will work together using the Circle of Courage model and other Indigenous learning frameworks to enhance cultural alignment, as well as support this by creating a Personal Indigenization Expression. Participants will have access to D2L and other resources to support learning. The intent is to increase faculty confidence and competency in Indigenization.
The series consists of 4 sequential sessions in May and June, and participants are asked to commit to at least 3 of the 4 sessions. After the in-person sessions, instructors will spend time implementing their changes in the Fall, with facilitator check-ins, culminating in a celebratory gathering in December.
In-Person Dates & Times (location TBD):
- Wednesday mornings 9am-noon
- May 14, May 21, May 28, & June 4
Facilitators: Natasha Parrish, Education Developer - Indigenization, and Charlotte Sheldrake, Education Developer - Curriculum Development and Program Renewal, CETL
