AVI Health & Community Services - Naloxone and Overdose Response In-Person

Be ready to save a life. Opioid overdoses can happen anywhere - to friends, family, neighbours, or strangers. You could be the difference. Join us for AVI Health and Community Services Education Department's hands-on, in-depth workshop on Overdose Response and Naloxone (Narcan) Use. Participants will learn the risk factors for overdose, as well as how to identify and respond to opiate (fentanyl) overdose and benzodiazepine overdose. The training will also include a hands-on demonstration of the injectable Naloxone kit and information on Nasal Naloxone use. There will be space for questions and support during and after the training, and all participants will receive a free Narcan kit to take home.
