Field Trip: "Salish Lines and nunuukʷin (we sing): (re)connecting to the natural and spiritual worlds through song" In-Person
Join Natasha, Education Developer Indigenization, for this guided learning opportunity at the UVic Legacy Art Gallery (downtown). A brand new exhibit "Salish Lines and nunuukʷin (we sing)” will be introduced by a knowledgeable art gallery curator, and afterwards participants will have an opportunity to view at their own pace. Salish Lines features the brilliant work of SȾÁUTW̱ artist Doug LaFortune, who is also well known as a Knowledge Keeper supporting us at Camosun College. In addition, nunuukʷin (we sing) features nuučaan̓uł Nuu-chah-nulth songs as methodology and is curated by alumni and past TELŦIN TŦE WILNEW facilitator Tommy Happynook.
This exhibit opened to the public Sept 18, anyone can stop by Thursday-Sunday 10am-4pm!
