AI Quick Start Guide 101: What is Generative Artificial Intelligence? In-Person / Online
Overview of common Gen-AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, DALL-E, Bing, etc.) and their current capabilities and limitations. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the implications of Gen-AI tech in teaching and learning. This is a hybrid workshop; participants are welcome to join us in person in LLC 151 or online in MS Teams.

Curious how generative artificial intelligence (Gen-AI) is affecting higher education? Want to know more about how tools like ChatGPT work and how they might be used in teaching and learning? This series of short 50-minute workshops explores the ins and outs of Gen-AI technology in a shifting educational landscape and offers opportunities for instructors to discuss and adapt teaching and learning activities and assessments in this new environment. Workshops are offered in hybrid format: get up and stretch if you want to join us in person, or you don’t even need to leave your desk! You can choose to attend as many or as few of the individual 50-minute workshops as you like.
